I was called to a home in Chelmsford that had a stuck-shut composite door. The multipoint lock had failed in the locked position, the handle was solid, and the customer was unable to open the door.

I managed to manipulate the mechanism and get the door open without causing any damage to the doors or frame.

As the mechanism is obsolete, I replaced it with a similar mechanism by the same brand. After a few small alterations, it was working as good as new.

If your door is becoming difficult to lock or your handles are becoming stiff or heavy to lift, get in touch as it’s much easier and cheaper to fix before any of the moving parts break.

If, however, something does break I can repair and replace most parts from stock on my van.
